Catastrophic Accident in Wakiso District Leaves Five Dead and Several Injured

Last night, a Scania Truck lost control and collided with several vehicles parked at Buloba Forest Park in the Wakiso district, resulting in the death of five people and several injuries. The accident occurred at approximately 8 pm while the truck was en route to Mityana and experienced a tyre burst, causing it to ram into five motor vehicles.

The Traffic Spokesperson, Faridah Nampiima, identified the affected vehicles as a Toyota Hiace, an Isuzu Elf, a Mitsubishi Pajero, and a Bajaj Boxer. The deceased included two passengers from UAV 515J, two from UBE 613E Toyota Hiace, and a boda-boda rider.

An unknown number of injured victims were rushed to Mulago Hospital in Kampala for medical attention. The Traffic police at Buloba Police station are currently conducting investigations, and further details will be provided soon.
