The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has issued a cautionary alert to Heads of Examination Centres, school directors, and the general public regarding scams claiming access to UNEB’s grading system. In a statement signed by the Executive Director, Dan Odongo, UNEB revealed the detection of impostors who are deceiving school leaders with promises to alter grades or clear them from malpractice allegations for a fee.
The statement emphasized UNEB’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination system and preventing educational institutions from falling victim to fraudulent activities. The warning serves as a preemptive measure to raise awareness about the presence of scammers exploiting individuals and institutions with false claims of influence over UNEB’s grading processes.
“UNEB hereby cautions Heads of Examination Centers, school directors, and the public against involvement with such fraudsters,” the statement read.
UNEB’s proactive stance aims to protect the credibility of the examination system and ensure the fair and unbiased evaluation of students’ performances. The board encourages vigilance among educational stakeholders and the public to prevent any unwarranted interference that may compromise the integrity of the examination process.
