Six police officers attached to Sironko CPS have been allegedly arrested for robbing 10 million shillings and over 100 cartons of wheat flour.
The suspects are: No. 51086 PC Gerald Sabiiti, No. 64627 Anthony Wanjala , No. 68822 PC Wangiri Jamada, No. 69001 Kamada Katende, No. 55238 PC Fauhara Namwoyo and Wycliff Chepwech, all attached to Sironko CPS on the 19th of November 2021 robbed one Ronald Sikoria, a resident of Chepryayi village in Kween District while on his way home.
It is alleged that put the victim on gun point, something that made him abandon his goods after they searched him and took the money from his pocket.
The suspects were apprehended and detained at Sironko Central police station.
The Elgon Region Spokesperson one, Taitika Rogers confirmed the arrest and made it clear that investigations are ongoing.
