Ecobank Introduces Premier Banking Services in Uganda to Cater to Affluent Customers

Ecobank in Uganda has launched premier banking services, an exclusive offering tailored to meet the sophisticated needs of its affluent clientele.

The newly introduced service will provide customers with dedicated relationship managers, access to exclusive banking products, invitations to elite events, and enhanced security and privacy measures.

Grace Muliisa, the Managing Director at Ecobank Uganda, emphasized that the service goes beyond traditional banking, aiming to add significant value to customers’ lives. She outlined four key aspects of the value proposition, including personalized banking facilitated by dedicated relationship managers who understand and cater to each customer’s financial requirements.

Furthermore, the premier banking service offers comprehensive protection for customers’ wealth and families through partnerships with insurance companies, covering life, property, and wealth.

Clients availing themselves of the premier banking service will enjoy priority treatment across Ecobank’s branches, call centers, and digital channels. They will also gain access to exclusive events such as networking opportunities, educational seminars, and VIP experiences designed to enrich their personal and professional lives.

Muliisa stressed the importance of financial support for Ugandans, especially in light of the country’s recent attainment of lower middle-income status. Ecobank aims to educate and guide customers through their financial journeys, providing essential support along the way.

Timothy Kiyimba, the head of consumer banking at Ecobank Uganda, outlined the eligibility criteria for the premier banking service. Customers earning a minimum salary of shs8 million, taking a facility of shs200 million, or maintaining shs100 million with the bank automatically qualify. Alternatively, customers can opt for the premier banking account and pay for the host of associated benefits.
