FATAL: Two UBOS Officials confirmed dead in an accident

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics has confirmed that two of its employees were among this that perished in a freak accident which occurred this morning on the Mubende-Kyegegwa Road.

The accident involved a Toyota Double Cabin pickup number UAY O51Z and a ‘Drone’ minivan number UBF 534N, which had a head on collision.

A yet to be confirmed number of people were killed in the accident.

Residents using all possible tools to rescue lives.

UBOS identified its workers who died in the accident as Ms. Carol Asasira who was working as an IT officer and Mr. Peter Ssenyonga, a driver.

These, the bureau said, were “on their way to Kasese for duty when a Taxi rammed into their vehicle.”

Following the crash, locals rushed to the scene and were seen using axes and other tools to cut out the bodies and the injured from the two wrecked vehicles
