Four suspected ADF rebels killed in Ntoroko.

Four men suspected to be plotting subversive activities in Uganda have been killed from Ntoroko district.

The four, allegedly part of the Allied Democratic forces-ADF, were intercepted on Wednesday evening at kisenge trading centre along the fort Portal-Bundibugyo road.

Mesearch Kawamara, the RDC Ntoroko said that a joint security team first intercepted the suspects but they tried to physically engage the security forces leading to their shooting.

The bodies have been taken to Fort Portal Region Referral Hospital for post mortem, according to the RDC.

Kawamara said that Ntoroko and Bundibugyo district security teams have been working jointly following reports that some ADF rebels were entering the country under the guise of asylum seekers.

On Sunday and Monday, security teams in the district arrested 14 suspected rebels, while other 11, all suspected to belong to ADF rebel were arrested in Bundibugyo and Ntoroko districts.

They were picked from Bubukwanga transmit camp and Rwamabale screening point. Bundibugyo RDC Asiimwe Banji says security in the district has been heightened following the development

The latest incident comes after two bombs went off in heart of the city killing people and leaving scores injured.
