The police in Hoima city have impounded a suspected stolen vehicle
The Box Body Truck Reg. No. UEB 530Z was impounded on Monday at around 7am along Hoima-Butiaba Road, Hoima City.
One suspect Shafik Murungi 28, the driver was arrested and detained at Hoima Central Police Station.
The Regional Police spokesperson, Juius Hakiza says they were alerted on Sunday by Ntinda police station about a stolen vehicle that was heading towards Hoima and details availed to them.
A vehicle matching the details availed was sighted on CCTV cameras installed on various parts of the area parked along Hoima-Butiaba road near kolping Hotel in Hoima city.
According to Hakiza, a team of detectives and officers rushed to the area where the vehicle was parked, impounded it and arrested the driver.
