Invitation Extended to Ugandans for Participation in the East Africa Investment Forum

The Coordinators of the East Africa Investment Forum and Trade Exhibition extend a warm invitation to Ugandans and participants from other nations to join the event, coinciding with the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the G77+China summits in Kampala. Taking place from January 17-18, 2024, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, the forum’s theme is “Deeper Cooperation in Trade, Tourism, and Investment for Shared Global Affluence.”

This forum provides a platform for discussions and the display of business opportunities, showcasing East Africa’s vast business and investment potential to NAM and G77+China member states. The NAM and G77, fostering South-South cooperation, present an ideal environment for nations to collaborate and advance their economic interests.

The exhibition will highlight key sectors driving East Africa’s economic growth, including tourism, agri-value addition, mineral beneficiation, oil and gas, and ICT. Emphasizing regional integration, the forum aims to strengthen ties within East Africa and foster collaboration for unified economic development.

The organizers extend an invitation to NAM and G77 member states to explore lucrative opportunities in East Africa, fostering knowledge transfer and joint ventures.

Expected outcomes include the signing of at least five investment deals worth $100 million (UGX 380 billion) in priority programs such as agro-industrialization, tourism, manufacturing, industrial parks, energy, mining, and oil and gas.

Theme nights from January 15-18 offer unique cultural experiences, promoting entertainment, camaraderie, and global unity.

Night 1: African Night – Rhythms of the Continent Indulge in Africa’s heartbeat with vibrant rhythms, traditional dances, and captivating performances. Immerse yourself in a celebration of unity and cultural richness, from traditional drums to a culinary journey through the continent’s flavors.

Night 2: Asian Night – Fusion of Traditions Embark on a cultural odyssey with captivating performances, rich heritage, and Asian culinary delights. Let vibrant colors and harmonious melodies transport you to the heart of Asia.

Night 3: South American Night – Salsa, Samba, and Savory Delights Sway to the sultry rhythms of South America with salsa, samba, and tantalizing flavors. Experience an electrifying celebration of Latin passion, music, and dance.

Night 4: Arabian Night Extravaganza Step into a world of mystique and opulence with enchanting belly dances, Middle Eastern music, and aromatic Middle Eastern cuisine. Experience an evening of enchantment and tradition.

The forum provides a comprehensive platform for collaboration, showcasing East Africa’s potential and fostering international partnerships for mutual prosperity.
