Jose Chameleone finally opens campaign office

Date:

Kampala Lord Mayor hopeful, Joseph Mayanja commonly known as Jose Chameleone, has finally launched his office on Balintuma road, Mengo in Kampala district.

Last week, police fired teargas to disperse Mayanja’s crowds that had came to witness his office launch.

The force accused the crowds of not adhering to Covid-19 SOPs which undermined the government effort of fighting the pandemic.

In his address, Mayanja said no amount of threats will divert him from the mission of liberating Uganda and the journey to fight for the citizens of this country.

“Our office launch was interrupted [last week]. I would like to thank all the senior members in the struggle. It was unfortunate that we were teargassed last time but we won’t give up,”he said.

He said the leader of National Unity Platform Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has given him enough courage to join the struggle of making Uganda a better nation.

“My brother Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu our president to be in 2021 told me that ‘Joseph wake up, Uganda needs you.’ So these are our offices as we officially kick off the struggle to make Uganda a better country,”he said.

He urged members of the public to join the the struggle noting that the country can’t be liberated without a concerted effort.

“My people I launch this office after spending one year thinking about causing change in the country. I decided to fight for the people of Uganda. Lets join the fight and do the needful, “he urged.
