Masaka top Imam dies after bathroom accident

MASAKA – The Masaka Main Mosque Imam, Sheikh Jamil Mbuga Kabangala, is dead.

Kabangala passed on this morning at Platinum Hospital in Kampala, where he had been rushed after he fell down in a bathroom on Friday.

According to Sheikh Umar Sserunjogi, a committee member of the mosque and also the director of Noor Islamic School in Masaka, Kabangala will be buried today at 2pm in Kitabaazi, Masaka city.

“We are in a sorrowful mood because we have lost a genius Imam,” Sserunjogi said.

Kabangala, an uncle to businessman Sulaiman Kabangala Mbuga (SK Mbuga), has been Imam for the Masaka Main Mosque since 2005
