Museveni Pledges to Transform Kityerera into Model Village

Date:

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni met the children and grandchildren of his fallen FRONASA comrades from Busoga. He pledged to honour their legacy through sustainable community transformation projects.

The group included families of the late Eng. Samuel Kasadha. These comrades played a major role in Uganda’s liberation struggle. Idi Amin’s regime brutally killed many of them.

“These comrades contributed greatly to the struggle for a free Uganda but were brutally murdered by Idi Amin. Their sacrifice is the foundation for the peace we have today,” Museveni said.

During the visit, Museveni announced plans to transform Kityerera in Mayuge District into a model village. The project will improve livelihoods through organised and sustainable development. It aims to ensure the heroes’ sacrifices benefit future generations.

“Following this visit, I am going to participate in transforming Kityerera into a model village,” Museveni stated.

He thanked the people of Mayuge District and the Busoga sub-region for their warm welcome. He also urged residents to work together for lasting progress.

The Museveni Kityerera model village project will honour the past and create opportunities for the future. It stands as a symbol of sacrifice, unity, and development in the region.
