During a graduation ceremony at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado, President Joe Biden experienced a sudden slip and fall.
According to reports, he stumbled on a sandbag while distributing diplomas to the graduating cadets.
Despite the fall, President Biden was quickly assisted back onto his feet and seemed uninjured. Upon returning to the White House, he jokingly remarked to reporters, “I got sandbagged!” It appeared that while handing out diplomas, he pointed towards one of the sandbags used to support his teleprompter, indicating it may have caused the mishap.
However, he walked back to his seat unassisted and later jogged to his motorcade at the conclusion of the ceremony. White House officials, including communications director Ben LaBolt and press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, assured the public that President Biden was fine. Although he boarded the plane with a smile, he did not take any questions from reporters before the flight.
