Paul Kato Lubwama, born on August 16, 1970, in Nkozi, Mpigi District, embarked on his dramatic journey at a young age. Starting his career at the age of 15 while still in school, Lubwama quickly made a name for himself in the theater productions and gained recognition as a talented musician. His dedication to the arts led him to pursue a diploma in Music, Dance, and Drama at Makerere University, which he successfully obtained in 1994.
Throughout his illustrious career spanning over three decades, Kato Lubwama became a household name in Uganda. He founded several enterprises, including the renowned Royal Theatre and Diamonds Ensemble, where he directed plays and nurtured young actors. Lubwama’s contributions to the growth of the industry were marked by his innovative ideas and exceptional talents.
Beyond his artistic achievements, Kato Lubwama transitioned into politics, becoming a Member of Parliament for Rubaga South. He passionately represented his constituents and worked tirelessly to address their concerns.
