Tragic Road Crash Claims 16 Lives in Kagadi District

Kagadi District, Uganda – In a devastating incident on Sunday evening, 16 individuals lost their lives in a horrific road crash that occurred at approximately 8pm in Muhorro town council. The tragic incident took place along the busy Kagadi-Kyenjojo-Fort Portal Highway, leaving the community in deep shock and mourning.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident involved a collision between two vehicles—a passenger taxi and a private sedan. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined, and local authorities, including the police and road safety agencies, have launched an investigation to ascertain the sequence of events leading to the fatal collision.

The impact of the collision was severe, leaving both vehicles significantly damaged and the victims trapped inside. Rescue teams and local residents rushed to the scene to provide immediate assistance. However, due to the intensity of the crash, it was a daunting task for the responders to extricate the victims from the wreckage.

Emergency medical services were also dispatched to the accident site to provide medical attention to the injured and transport them to nearby hospitals. Sadly, despite the valiant efforts of the rescue teams and medical staff, it was confirmed that 16 individuals, including men, women, and children, had succumbed to their injuries.
