Uganda Police to Recruit and Train Over 430 Drivers for Specialized Fleet

Kampala, Uganda | June 25, 2025
The Uganda Police Force (UPF) has officially launched a new recruitment exercise aimed at enlisting 434 professional drivers for multiple categories of operational and logistical support vehicles.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, the selected candidates will be trained to operate a wide range of vehicles, including:

  • Light-duty trucks
  • Heavy commercial trucks
  • Minibuses and coasters
  • Police buses
  • 4×4 light utility vehicles
  • Construction and engineering equipment

The application deadline for this recruitment drive is July 4, 2025, and interested candidates are advised to submit their applications promptly through official UPF channels.

Boosting Capacity in Police Transport and Logistics

The recruitment is part of a broader effort by the Uganda Police Force to strengthen its transport and operations division, especially as the force expands its fleet to meet growing national security and infrastructure needs.
