MARU Credit Hosts ‘Timeless Tees’ Golf Nite with Afrigo Band

Date:

MARU Credit Club Nite Timeless Tees lit up the Uganda Golf Club on April 16. It was an evening where ambition, rhythm, and legacy met under the stars. Hosted by MARU Credit, the sixth edition of this signature event combined thrilling golf with timeless music from Uganda’s legendary Afrigo Band.

The event brought together golfers, business leaders, clients, and friends. They united for a night that honored skill, culture, and meaningful connection.

Although launched just six months ago, MARU Credit Club Nite has already become a key event in Kampala’s social and business circles. It was designed to connect golfers and entrepreneurs in a relaxed yet impactful setting.

“This was never just about golf,” said Joshua Mazune, Managing Director of MARU Credit. “It’s about where ambition meets opportunity — just like our mission to bridge financial gaps.”

Importantly, the “Timeless Tees” theme stood for more than sport. It represented lasting values like discipline, legacy, and progress. These are qualities that also define MARU Credit’s journey in Uganda’s financial sector.

Meanwhile, Afrigo Band’s live performance brought a nostalgic energy. Their music connected generations and added charm to the celebration. As a result, the dance floor buzzed just as much as the golf course.

“Timeless Tees, timeless music, timeless connections,” Mazune added. “Tonight reflects our brand’s commitment to endurance, growth, and meaningful moments.”

In addition, the evening celebrated excellence on the golf course.

Bertram Mpora and Judith Komugisha won in the top men’s and ladies’ categories. Mark Rubatsimbira stood out as the best guest performer. Andrew Opio and Jerry Owachi led Men’s Groups A and B. Wendy Angudeyo and Hasifa Karungi topped their respective women’s groups.

Throughout the awards segment, applause echoed and camaraderie filled the air. Each trophy celebrated not just victory but persistence and progress.

“MARU Credit is more than a sponsor,” Mazune emphasized. “We’re partners in growth — on the green, in boardrooms, and across communities. Whether we’re funding a dream or supporting a swing, we ensure progress never stalls.”

With branches in Bugolobi and Ntinda, MARU Credit continues to provide flexible financial services. These include vehicle financing, logbook loans, and business capital.

More importantly, the Club Nite initiative reflects a larger vision. MARU Credit doesn’t just lend money. It also invests in moments that inspire growth, unity, and personal transformation.

As the evening came to a close, one message stood out clearly. Timelessness is not only about golf. It’s also about the legacies we create, the joy we share, and the progress we drive forward — together.
