Transfers Gossip: Jjuuko, Poloto & Anukani Move
The 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season is fast approaching, and the buzz is all about Transfers Gossip Uganda, with clubs sealing big moves to strengthen their squads.
BUL FC made headlines by signing 26-year-old defender Tah Barni Kelvin from NEC FC on a two-year deal. The experienced defender, who previously featured for Nyamityobora and Kyetume, brings grit and composure to the Jinja-based side.
Kitara FC also stole the spotlight after confirming the return of seasoned defender Murushid Jjuuko on a two-year contract. The former Uganda Cranes star has enjoyed stints with SC Victoria University, Simba SC in Tanzania, Wydad Casablanca in Morocco, and Express FC. Jjuuko joins an ambitious roster already boosted by Isa Lumu, Amir Kakomo, Henry Musisi, Sadiq Ssekyembe, Rashid Toha, and Emmanuel Alex Wasswa.
In another major shake-up, Julius Poloto and Bright Anukani have signed for Entebbe UPPC FC (formerly Gaddafi FC), reuniting with coach Abdallah Mubiru. Their move follows a wave of reinforcements at UPPC, including Steven Munguchi, Mujuzi Mustafa, Hassan Ssenyonjo, Noordeen Bunjo, and Marvin Mukiibi.
Elsewhere, Police FC secured defender Benon Tahomera and striker Lawrence Tezikya on two-year deals, while welcoming new teammates Stephen Namaisi, Richard Matovu, and Saidi Kyeyune.
URA FC also strengthened with the unveiling of striker Fred Amaku and goalkeeper Chrispas Kusiima, both signed until 2027. The duo arrived from Kitara FC to replace Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Rogers Omedwa, who departed for KCCA and UPPC respectively.
With clubs moving aggressively in the market, this season’s Transfers Gossip Uganda underlines a fierce battle for supremacy in the Premier League, promising fans drama, rivalries, and unforgettable moments.
